Dental Crown Services in Goldsboro, NC

Dental crowns are one of the most enduring dental treatments available. Patients who suffer from missing, broken, or decayed teeth can commonly have the problem resolved by a crown placed over the damaged area. Crowns are typically made of porcelain, completely covering the portion of your tooth that might be visible. This option may be temporary or permanent, and a dental professional can help you decide whether it is the proper treatment for your teeth. The office of P.A. Daniel Jr., D.D.S. provides comprehensive dentistry to clients in the greater Goldsboro, NC, area, including treatments for damaged teeth. Call (919) 734-4716 for an appointment.

Same-day crowns

Our office utilizes new CEREC (Chair-side Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic) technology that allows our patients to receive a dental crown in one simplified visit. Our dentists use a digital scanner to send the information about your prepared tooth to a milling machine that makes a precise and strong restoration; all in the matter of about 40 minutes! You wait comfortably for that small period of time in the office instead of having to take the time out of your day in the future to return for a follow-up!

In some more complex anterior crown and bridge cases (multiple teeth) we still rely on a dental lab to help us produce the end result. However, the vast majority of our crown appointments are now completed with this wonderful technology!

Step 1:

After the consultation, the

CEREC Primescan or CEREC Omnicam scanner captures the

area to be treated.

Step 2:

The restoration is then created as a 3D model on the computer.

Step 3:

The restoration is then quickly milled from a block directly in our office.

Step 4:

The finished restoration is seated

in your mouth the same day.

Dental Bridges

for Damaged Teeth

Patients dealing with multiple damaged teeth, especially ones adjacent to each other, might be candidates for dental bridges. As the name suggests, a bridge builds a covering that spans a gap in a person’s teeth. This can be accomplished to cover a missing tooth or extensive damage. Bridges, like crowns, may be made of porcelain and provide a reliable treatment for decay. Though they are an adequate solution, patients can typically opt for temporary or permanent options. The right choice will depend on various factors, including the condition of your other teeth, the extent of the decay, and whether or not this will be a permanent solution.
